About Us

In the Beginning:

As a Farrier of 14 years at the time, I was wanting a software to run my Farrier Business. There were few choices, and most at that time were DOS based. I was a Windows fan. So I decided I woudl just write my own farrier software... yea right. So I began learning Object Pascal, im the Delphi programming software and 2 years later (I thought that learning how to program would be simple and fast...Wrong!) so two years later I had Farriers Basic. Software that could easily manage a Professional Farriers business. That was 1996.

The Growing Years:

As time went on there were many additions to the software, including when it went mobile first with the Palm handhelds, then later to the Windows Mobile Phone devices. Both made the Software more useful to the mobile farrier. All of these additions and upgrades to the PC software were done in the Object Pascal Delphi language. Somewhere in around 2008 Delphi started to fall behind in the mobile programing world, so the decision was made to make the jump to Microsoft and the C# language.

Where we're going:

With the change to the Microsoft era we were allowed to expand the program tobe the most useful software we have written yet. It allows the full use of the Microsoft Outlook program for email, contacts and calendar. You are able to sync your Farriers PC application with MS Outlook, which in turn syncs your outlook contacts email and Calendar with your Windows Phone 7 Device, keeping you in sync and up to date with all your data. Where we can go from here is unknown but with Microsoft leading the way I am sure FB will have room to grow.
